In late November of 2005 employees of the LCPS Physical Plant met with CSEC-LC about organizing. After that meeting the employees of the physical plant were able to get 52 of the 60 employees to join CSEC-LC. CSEC-LC President, Irma Valdespino, along with physical plant employees went before the LCPS School board and requested volunteer recognition by the school board. The School Board will give their decision at the January 17th School Board meeting.
